Admissions

Thank you for considering IvyCrest for your child's education. Our admission process serves several important purposes. It allows you, the parent, to become better acquainted with our mission and practices. Likewise, it provides us with the opportunity to learn about your expectations and goals for your child's education. It also gives families who are new to Montessori an excellent introduction to the philosophy and methods of a Montessori education in general.

Admission Policy Statement

IvyCrest admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational and administrative policies, scholarships or any other school programs. The goal of IvyCrest is to admit students and families who share and support our school values, and who will bring cultural, social, economic, and ethnic diversity to our classrooms.

School Inquiry

Prospective parents are encouraged to call the main office at (714) 879–6091 for our Fullerton campus or (714) 777–2511 for our Yorba Linda campus. You will be invited to schedule an appointment to tour the school and meet with one of our School Directors. This will give you an opportunity to tour our campus and to ask important questions about the programs we offer and meet our teaching staff.

Tour

When you arrive, you will observe students experiencing their typical school day: academics, computer classes, art, music, and play activities. We will discuss a comprehensive overview of IvyCrest, the Montessori curriculum, our School of the Arts, enrichment programs, special events and more. After you have finished the tour of the campus, you will have an opportunity to discuss tuition rates, fees, and services. Individual concerns about your child may also be discussed at this time.

Orientation

Parents will have the opportunity to meet with the teacher after verification of completed enrollment documents. The purpose of this meeting is to get to know the teacher and for her to learn more about your child. She will share information regarding the parent handbook, school calendar, curriculum, daily schedule, and her expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to share anecdotal information about their child with their new teacher.
